Fortunately there are people whom I have met in the most uncommon places, in the most magic moments. People that I admire, that I love, for who they are, for everything they create, and for what they represent. These so-called “karma” meetings. And it will be only these kind of people that I will host here. People with whom I share the same code.
People with whom we spell the alphabet the same way.
And this is my alphabet. The alphabet of WAWWD.
A.
I adore people that you can’t forget. That have a distinguished voice, that have magnetic auras. People who are generous. Generous when they talk to you, when they touch you, when they hug, generous people in action. You know these “beautiful” people.
B.
I count on people and for this big plan.
C.
I find peace with the perfection and the wisdom of nature. With the sound of leaves. With the image and the echo of the sea. With the blue and white of the Aegean Sea. With the light of Greece.
D.
I’m tied up with the memories of my childhood. With the Greek summers.
Ε.
Eftychia should be happy. (Eftychia after all means happiness). I’m happy at nights. At dawn. I’m happy when I walk barefoot on a wooden and clean floor. With the smell of freshly-washed bed sheets. With vanilla. With tomato, feta cheese and bread. With one crepe with chocolate. Happiness surrounds me, when water caresses me, when salty-sea-water and the sand touches my skin, just like the touch of cotton clothes. Yes, I am happy when I hear people laughing. I find happiness with hugs, in hugs…
F.
I measure quantities. I consider my words. I “measure” people. But always in the end, what wins is the unquantifiable.
G.
I calm dowm as time passes by. In the safety of my mom’s hug.
H.
I set boundaries. I set questions. I set terms. And then I renege on them.
I.
I prioritise my needs, my people. But even when I’m mistaken. Whatever deserves to be my number one, it finds its way to my emotional centre.
J.
“Laugh as much as you want against me.”- Aristophanes-Ecclesiazusae
K.
To be forgotten by the people you love. To forget the one you love. The worst curse.
But
If a knot something can not be untied, you cut it. –Alexander the Great
L.
To Learn. Even when you believe you know everything, continue learning. Eternal youth.
M.
To wash your hands of a matter. Not just Pontius Pilatus, but all those shying away from responsibility and the cowards of today, the today’s sorrow.
Ο.
“If you decompose Greece, at the end you shall see that there remains an olive tree, a vineyard and a boat. Which means that with all these you can rebuild Greece.”
Odysseus Elytis
P.
People become beautiful when they know how to carry themselves, how to dress, when they know when to speak and when to pause, when they have their own personal style. How unbelievably beautiful are these people? These restless people who want to become better, by reading, through the arts, through music, to tame nature and to be tamed by it. In every possible way. But mostly one’s beauty comes from inner happiness, from being good up there, in the heart.
Q.
Believe in miracles.
In crazy people.
In karma meetings.
In Big Ideas.
Never question.
R.
First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek? – “Silence of the Lambs”
S.
He seduced me with the way he fidgeted with his hands in his pockets, with the way his eyes were focusing. With the way he dominated the place. With his simplicity. With his pauses. With the way he touched my hand the first time. A real man (the Greek word is “pallikari” but there is no pure translation for this term in any language…).
T.
I pick up the phone and call. The voice that comes from distance. To bring this voice close, next to me. That was always my fate. Trying to bring closer the bodies that are away.
U.
I buckle and I retreat in front of the sweeping love. To the grand amour.
V. All the expectations vanished and became stubbornness.
W.
This life is worth living only if they touch you, the way you deserve to be touched.
X
All the things that they have whispered to you, you shall not share with anybody. Because when whispers are expressed they become a clear sound, they also become a public speech.
Y.
To mature over the years. To make the angles curvier. To educate yourself in being tolerant. To make the soul beautiful. To sweeten your looks. You made a mockery out of it.
Z.
The A and the Z. The beginning and the end. The circle of life.
